David Hockney’s ‘A Bigger Picture’ spans 50 years, demonstrating his long standing fascination with the landscapes of his beloved Yorkshire. Through his innovative use of new technology you will be taken on a spell binding visual journey.
Peterborough band Dr A’s Rhythm and Groove return to Café Portico with a slightly altered line up but the same hip swaying blues. A mix of styles comprising of both original compilations and classic old favourites will keep you entertained all night.
A fashion show exhibiting a selection of ethically made womenswear and accessories by both new and established designers. The evening will conclude with an after show sale of the ranges featured.
Local favourite Colin returns to Café Portico with friends Peter Barnaby and Andy Aitcheson. Their acoustic jazz style is based on a fusion of the exuberant Hot Club de Paris music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli mixed with more recent developments in modern jazz to stimulate your soul.
An intriguing acoustic duo that combine effortless yet intricate guitar work with vocal harmonies, resulting in captivating music that stays with you. Rita Payne have perfected the art of making each song individual and unique using limited but interesting instrumentation.
Show stopping U.S singer/songwriter and slide/acoustic guitarist John Emil appears at Café Portico for an evening of country blues, folk, bluegrass and lush Hawaiian sounds. John will be supported by Chris Willows, of The Warbirds, for this special Thursday night performance. A spellbinding repertoire makes this an evening not to be missed!
