Lincoln Inspired Quiz Night

Wednesday 4th December
Food available
Tickets £2 per person minimum of 2 persons per team

Lincoln Inspired: The First Edition was a fantastic success in 2013. It contained all the elements we had hoped to include, like books, art, comedy, theatre, music, conversation, stuff for schools and advice for aspiring writers, and a few things we didn’t anticipate (like a Dalek). We’ve briefly taken stock, and we are moving full steam ahead to Lincoln Inspired: The Second Festival.

From the outset we decided not to go down the traditional funding route for this kind of event. Instead we’ve raised the money to put it on ourselves, in partnership with generous individuals and organisations from Lincoln and beyond. We firmly believe that on our own we can’t do a lot, but if everyone gets together and gives what they can – even as little as a few pennies or a fiver – we can achieve a lot. Email us at hello@lincolninspired.co.uk to find out how you can help us and don’t forget you can also help support us with a donation.

An evening with Lydia Bauman: L.S. Lowry

Tuesday 11th June 2013
Talk starts at 6:00pm  Food served from 7:00pm
Tickets: £10 in advance (incl. a tea or coffee)

This summer, Tate Britain presents a major exhibition of landscapes by the much-loved British painter L.S. Lowry – the first of its kind held by a public institution in London since the artist’s death. Focusing on the best of Lowry’s urban scenes and industrial landscapes , this timely and carefully selected exhibition aims to re-assess Lowry’s contribution to art history and to argue for his achievement as Britain’s pre-eminent painter of the industrial city.
